Date Night Looks

Happy February, you guys! A lot of you have been asking me about date night looks recently. It’s harder to feel inspired during the winter because it’s so cold out – but winter dressing is easier than it seems. Here are my tips for chic layered up looks.

I’ve preached it once and I’ll preach it again – a nice blazer is a great thing to have. The number of outfits you get from layering a blazer over different tops and dresses is well worth it. Here, I layered it over a black cashmere sweater for my favorite color combo and to play down the pinstripes and leather pants. The white boots draw from the striped blazer and add a fun pop to the outfit. I wore a simple and sophisticated bag to add to the overall polished look.

J Brand Maria High Rise Leather Legging $998

Gianvito Rossi Levy Ankle Boots $1,095

Mark Cross Grace Shoulder Bag $2,495

You guys know how much I’m obsessed with jeans. These vintage RE/DONE’s are one of my favorite for their versatility. This light wash pair looks amazing paired back to a simple top, like this sleek, low back cami. I like to dress up the more casual pieces with nice accessories like my classic Chanel and my sparkly Manolo’s. I wore my simple black peacoat and an edgy pair of sunglasses to balance the look.

Alice & Olivia Harmon Camisole $195

RE/DONE High Rise Rigid Stove Pipe Jeans $250

Manolo Blahnik Hangisi Pumps $995

Here’s another cute blazer look but this time I used it to add a little interest to the layering. Its obviously cold where I am in NYC but sometimes I like to show a little skin. A high rise pant paired back to a crop top gives the look of midriff without it getting too cold. I layered a blazer and jacket over the look to keep me warm outside and it gives me the option to wear the blazer or go fully cropped indoors.

This outfit looks great on it’s own, and if you have the weather for it – go for it! But now that the temperature has dropped, I would style this amazing tuxedo dress over cute printed tights (ahem, Gucci print) and add a long wool coat for polished warmth.

Milly Blazer Mini Dress $347 (Similar, black sold out)

Saint Laurent Amber Heels $725

Mark Cross Grace Bag $2,495

I love this look because its very streamlined and simplistic. The monochromatic gray makes it easy on the eyes but all of the different textures and layers add interest. My Wolford bodysuits are some of my favorite date night looks in the winter. I paired it with a blazer to keep me warm and stylish but when I take the layers off it still looks sexy on its own.

Mango Belted Wool Coat $169

Veronica Beard School Boy Jacket $545

Wolford Bodysuit $250

MOUSSY Velma Denim $325

Saint Laurent Zoe Suede Pump $625 (Similar)

I’m a New Yorker, so naturally I love black. This all black ensemble is the easiest to throw on and recreate so you could wear it again and again. I wore a cropped silk cami with my favorite leather pants as my basic dressed up look. This time, I added this new (AMAZING) oversized blazer that I recently got to add some cool factor. Pair it back to minimal accessories or add a fun print like I did to switch it up. This look works great with black jeans, tailored pants, a leather jacket, heeled sandals… the list goes on and on.

Helmut Lang Peak Lapel Oversized Blazer $695

Alice & Olivia Harmon Camisole $195

J Brand Maria High Rise Leather Pants $998

Gianvito Rossi Levy Leather Boot $1,075

Fendi Black Kan I $2,690

What are some of your favorite winter date ideas? As much as I love the cold, I’m really looking forward to outdoor drinks with late sunsets this summer.
