For the longest time I have been on the hunt for comfortable, yet stylish boots and I think I finally found them. To be honest, I never heard of Taryn Rose before, but when they reached out to collaborate I was so excited. I got to select my two favorite boots from their new collection. I had to get the ‘Cassidy’ boot which is just a classic black leather bootie with a stunning gold zipper on the side and of course since patent leather is all the hype right now, I had to get the ‘Nora’ bootie.
When I received the boots, the first thing I noticed before even putting them on was how soft the material of both boots were. The second I tried on the boots, there was an instant “ahh” factor. Taryn Rose, you guys seriously nailed the 360-degree comfort factor. When I buy boots, I really look for flexibility, stability and cushioning because I like to be comfortable when I am running around the city all day. Their insoles have this “glove-like” feel that just wraps your foot in comfort. Taryn Rose ensures that you could think on your feet and not about your feet.
Everyone needs a classic black leather bootie in their closet and this is definitely the perfect one. This bootie is made with a supple nappa leather to ensure a nice and soft leather feel. If you’re tall like me, you probably are always on the lookout for a nice heel that isn’t too high. Well lucky you, because these ‘Cassidy’ booties have a 2.5-inch heel, so they give you a little extra height without making you look like a giant. I styled these boots with a classic pair of cropped jeans that hit right above my ankle to expose the detail of the boots.
Every detail on this boot is crafted to perfection, from the zipper, to the insole and even the outsole. The zipper is coated in a beautiful gold color that gives the shoe such a luxurious and high-end look. The insole has an ORTHOLITE footbed with PORON energy return and shock absorbing foams. Lastly, their outsole is made from their signature rose designed rubber.
Recently, everywhere I have been looking, all I could see are either kitten heeled booties or patent leather booties and thank god the Nora bootie has both! This bootie is so simple yet so elegant at the same time. These booties are for sure a staple in my wardrobe now. One thing I really love about this boot is how versatile they are. I could easily take these boots from day to night.
Just like the Cassidy boot, every detail of this boot is created to give them an ultra-luxury look. The patent leather material has the perfect amount of shine. Also, the 1.5-inch heel is perfect for giving a more dressed up feel to a more casual outfit. I was able to pair these shoes with a more monochromatic look so that the boots would really pop.
